Heirloom Gardens and its owner, Valarie Rider are a treasure in this town - honest, dedicated and meticulous. Her vision to move everyone closer to a natural, organic relationship with their little patch of Earth, within their budget and working with what they already have and who they are is rare. Valarie's crew did a fantastic job at my home and even covered in snow, it excites me to get out there this year and enjoy. Thank you Heirloom Gardens!

Heirloom Gardens has performed numerous services for me over the past several years. They built raised beds for our home garden, set up and placed irrigation for some whiskey barrels, and added some spectacularly effective fertilizer. They have removed a tree, cleaned up a native vegetation area on my property, and helped with lawn and irrigation problems. They set up and tended a beehive for several years before I gave it up due to the bear activity in our area, at which time they rescued the remaining bees and rehomed them. They have also completed projects on our rental properties, such as pruning, removing vegetation in contact roof or siding, and repairing broken sprinklers. They always arrive promptly when promised, complete their work in a workmanlike manner, and leave the area tidy, carting off any residual items and debris to the dump. Every member of the team is a pleasure to deal with. I can't say enough good about them and give them my highest rating. Especially if your focus is organic/sustainable/permaculture, these are the guys you want.

This was the third time we used Heirloom Gardens. Heirloom Gardens staff is creative, knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about their work. Two years ago they set up my raised garden beds and we reaped the rewards of the variety of fresh vegetables; my girls love to pick their own lettuce for our salads and the ground cherries Valarie introduced me to are amazing. Last year they designed and installed a beautiful flower garden and rock pathway with creeping thyme in our side yard. It’s beautiful; the flowers all bloom at different times so there’s always a color. This year, they made my backyard beautiful, not only did they deliver on my vision but they exceeded my expectations. Oh! And, my trees have never been happier. My rock/herb garden is an edible piece of art. Obviously, I would hire them again and it’s definitely worth your time to meet with them for all your landscaping needs

I love Heirloom Gardens! I need a landscaper who shares my environmental values and Valarie and her crew are able to help me keep up with my very unique garden in a thoughtful way. We try to help, not harm, our local wildlife and watershed.

I am so impressed by what you all have going on there. My daughter is learning so much from you by volunteering her time in your wonderful home and garden.
